ATTORNEY PROFILE
Background, Training, and
Experience:
Jennifer Monroe has the
background, training, and experience to protect your rights and help
you. She was formally trained in criminal law and procedure
at Loyola Law School of Los Angeles, and has completed additional
specialized training
to stay current with changes in law and trends in criminal
law. She also has a decade of practical hands on experience
evaluating and negotiating criminal cases. For years as a
prosecutor, she decided what charges to file and what offers to
make. Jennifer Monroe is now on your side and can use her
vast experience, training, and knowledge to help you achieve the best
possible outcome of your case.
Jennifer Monroe served as a
prosecuting Deputy District Attorney and Deputy City Attorney for seven
years. During her seven years as a prosecutor Jennifer Monroe
was responsible for all aspects of the prosecution of misdemeanor,
felony, and Major Narcotic cases. She has personally handled
every crime listed on this web site including DUI/DWI, theft, drugs, crimes of violence,
the crimes listed in the common
crimes section, and many more obscure crimes of the
Penal Code, Vehicle Code, and local Municipal Codes. Please contact Jennifer
Monroe directly if you are charged with a crime not listed, she has
likely handled it before and can help you.
She has handled these types of
crimes through all stages
of prosecution including: investigation,
filing,
office hearing,
demurrer,
arraignment,
bail hearing,
pre-trial, pre-trial motions,
motion to suppress
evidence, preliminary hearing,
arraignment on the
information, motion to set aside the
information, sentencing
and in many cases through jury trial.
She has also handled post-conviction
matters including monitoring defendants and their conditions of probation,
probation violation
hearings, motions to modify
probation, motions to terminate
probation, and motions to set aside
pleas and expunge.
Jennifer Monroe also has
experience with each of these crimes evaluating their strengths and
weaknesses to determine what charges to file, and what sentence to
seek. She can now use those skills to evaluate your case and
seek the best possible outcome for you.
When not working behind the
scenes reviewing and charging cases, Jennifer Monroe spent most of her
time as a prosecutor in court negotiating cases with defense counsel
and the judge. While a prosecutor she settled thousands of
cases through plea bargaining, conducted many misdemeanor and felony
jury trials, and presented over 100 felony preliminary
hearings.
Yes it is true; during her
seven year career as a prosecutor she handled thousands of cases
because on any given day Jennifer Monroe handled more cases in court
than other criminal defense attorneys handle in a year.
Jennifer Monroe is now on your side and will use all that
training and experience to protect your rights and help you seek the
best result possible in your case.
